Boca do Rio is proud to support the formation of Instituto Bororó, a uniquely Brazilian ecological and cultural learning center on the outskirts of Pirenópolis, Brazil. Founded by Dirvele Felipe da Silva, better known as Bororó, the Institute weaves together the threads of ecology, music, and the Afro and Indigenous roots of contemporary Brazilian culture. The Institute aims to educate and connect the next generation of artists, musicians, scientists, and thinkers of all stripes with Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous traditional ecological knowledge and give students a chance to tap into these ancient voices.
